The search is on for my Spring 2012 intern. While my role is classified under Human Resources, this intern will be working on projects that are pretty unique. As you know (because you’re reading it) we have an intern blog so I need my intern to assist with content creation and editorial tasks associated with keeping the blog fresh. This intern will also assist with recruiting (both in-person and using social media) and facilitation of our internship. That includes planning various intern lunches, get-togethers, and seminars.
While I’d love to have someone with an interest in HR, this role has responsibilities (and freedoms) that are cross-departmental. I’ve always told my interns that HR, specifically Staffing/Recruiting, is a great place to start if you have an interest in business as it can expose you to all parts of the business and give you an insight as to how, and why, people conduct interviews and select candidates.
Oh, did I also mention you can write on our walls?
