SiriusXM Interns

These first few weeks at SiriusXM have been surreal, coming to orientation the first day I was a little nervous but was soon comforted by the welcoming employees at the office.  I have been a listener of SiriusXM for years, and hoped that one day I’d soon be lucky enough to intern for them.  This internship so far has been everything I wanted and more. I’ve met a ton of different people, from all the interns working in different departments, to many of the employees around the office and even some celebrities, I can honestly say working in the Public Relations department is never a dull day.I’m learning how many different tasks the people in PR need to handle.  Some days I’m transcribing audio clips for quotes to send out to the press, to clipping news articles of pictures taken at SiriusXM, to even assisting with writing press releases! My mentor is awesome and so much fun to work with.  I get to help set up special events for guests, and run around with photographers to help them get pictures of the celebrities that come into the office.  Each day I walk into work, I know it’s going to be different than the last and always filled with excitement! I’m anxious to see what the rest of the semester has to offer!
